Can I have the procedure if I am using Retin A or other anti aging agents?
Retin A makes the skin replenish itself making it thinner and bleed easily, thereby reject pigment. You should stop taking Retin A 14 days prior to procedure if you’ve been taking it for less than a year. If you’ve been using Retin A for more than a year, stop using Retin A 30 days prior to your procedure. You can go back to using Retin A after procedure, just be sure to keep about a half inch away from the procedure site as it can lead to premature fading. Retin A and other anti aging creams or serums will fade your Permanent makeup causing more frequent touchups.
